Neytiri Figure Review June 7, 2010 A. E. Terry I got this for Christmas as my family knows there are some Action Figures I do go out of my way to collect. I hadn't planned on picking up any of the Avatar Figures due to the quality of the figures from looking at their packaging.
It's about on par with what you can expect of toys and actions based off of movies where they whip them out and jack up the prices to pull in the Collectors and cash in on the latest Movie Craze.
I let my 3 yr old play with this figure as I thought that would be alright... the figure isn't durable. The right leg pops off no matter how careful you are. And there is metal in the figure for the joints, so yeah, becareful of any wearing out.
I was inclined to think a manufacturing defect with Neytiri as my Jake figure is fine and withholds to my toddler's play with him and moving the limbs the same way. But after other reviews, it may just be the figures overall.
Too small. March 10, 2010 Steven Bush The Jake Sully was the right size.I wish Neytiri was bigger. She is way too small. It should be the same size as Jake.
Did I get a reject or what? February 20, 2010 Alexandra E. Thomas I adore these little Na'vi action figures and own a bunch of them, but Neytiri is unfortunately my least favorite. Either I received a deformed unit, or Mattel decided to put all of their efforts into the other figures and put Neytiri together as an afterthought.
Her arms are bizarrely bulbous, as is her head. In fact, the piece that forms her hair doesn't properly match up with her face. One of her feet is twisted inward, which makes it nigh impossible to stand her up, and though she has a neck joint, you can't turn her head because her hair and feather necklace get in the way. Her bow and arrow are the flimsiest of all the Na'vi figures' weapons.
And finally: she looks nothing like Neytiri. She looks vaguely female and vaguely disgruntled, but that's about it.
If you have to have Neytiri for your collection, get this. But if you're just hoping for one nice little action figure, I'd suggest checking out Jake, Norm, Tsu'Tey, or pretty much anyone else.
Excellent Avatar 3 D Neytiri Action Figure February 20, 2010 P. J. Whitfield (lake zurich, illinois USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent job by Mattel in recreating the Neytiri character from the Avatar Movie. While she is very hard to find, she is well worth the search. The highly articulated action figure is a great addition to the Avatar collection. Her movements in the movie where closely assimilated into the movement of the action figure. The 3 D web cam itag makes this a fun item for the Adults and kids in our family. We had never purchased this type of item before and did not know if the quality of the recreated scenes would match the world of Pandora from the movie. IT DOES MATCH THAT WORLD and we are very happy that we bought it!
One Significant Detail Is Wrong February 9, 2010 The Dread Pirate Roberts (San Jose, CA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Maybe only an archer would notice this, but the left hand is articulated to draw the bowcord with the palm in, as human archers do - but the Na'vi all drew their bows with the palm out.
