mp3 August 16, 2010 mom of 3 I did NOT like this product. It was NOT what I thought it would be. And when I contacted the company I was told there are NO refunds. So now I am stuck with this junk. I would NOT buy it again.
Very LOUD!!! August 4, 2010 Mel My three yr old loves it. The songs are cute, its easy to work, but it is loud! Even with tape over the speaker, the music comes out through the buttons too and it is really obnoxious, actually. I got it for her so she could have music at night when trying to fall asleep. I can hear it easily in my room, and if she rolls on it during the night it wakes her.
Great Music Player November 27, 2009 M. Levinstein (Des Moines, IA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't normally write reviews, but when I noticed that some found the product description misleading, I had to comment. I found the description on the packaging to be pretty straight foward regarding the fact that this was a toy music player. That being said, it is my 3 year old's favorite toy right now. He takes it with him wherever he goes. There are three settings for the player: regular, demo, and dance. When the switch is set to 'dance' your child must jump and dance in order to keep the music playing. You must have it switched to regular in order for the entire song to play. We have so far "downloaded" all of the 150 songs. Which by the way are just silly, electronic beats and tunes, not actual hits or even singing. But my 3 year old doesn't mind. So, if your child loves music or loves pushing buttons, or can't keep their hands off of your ipod, this is a great toy. I will be purchasing 2 more of these toys for Christmas presents.
Not a real MP3 Player. Flawed design. December 23, 2007 Arnim Zola 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It looks like a lot of people were fooled into thinking this was a real MP3 player. It's very likely since the toy's name doesn't say otherwise. This toy isn't without merit, but I think the flaws outweigh them.
GOOD Features: The LCD animation is cute at pretending it's an MP3 player. It has fake progress bar for "downloads". And there is a retractable, pretend cord to plug the toy to itself for "downloading". My kid found it fun pulling the short cord and pushing the button on the back to automatically retract it. The design is also cute and durable.
BAD features: Not a real MP3 player. The title can mislead many people. I had played with it before, so I knew before buying this item.
My regrets with this toy is the extremely low volume. I think it's low for safety reasons (Fear of a kid holding it too close to the ears?). At the same time though, there is a mode for kids to dance with it to play short segments of music. When they stop moving, the music stops playing. Nice in concept, but when you combine that with the low volume, it really doesn't work. The other bad feature is the lack of backlighting, making the screen's graphics dim and hard to see.
I was hoping this would be a fun, portable toy to carry in the diaper bag. But the low volume and unlit screen make it unusable in most public places.
good for toddler August 22, 2007 yg (NJ) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Cute toy for a toddler. I was disappointed that it didn't include headphones. It is more like a toy radio. It has nice little instrumental songs but my grandchild wanted something with headphones or earbuds to be like her uncles.
